ApnaTank was founded in 2023 by Aditya Kumar and Priya Sharma, who experienced the inefficiencies of the startup pitch process from both sides – as founders seeking investment and as angel investors evaluating opportunities.
After spending countless hours in pitch meetings that didn't lead to investments, they realized there had to be a better way. They envisioned a platform where founders could present their ideas succinctly through video, and investors could efficiently discover startups aligned with their investment criteria.
Starting with a small beta group of investors and founders, the platform quickly gained traction, facilitating over $5 million in investments within the first six months.
